Chateau d’Esclans produce one of the finest examples of Rose in the guise of Garrus. Elegant and refined on the nose much like a fine white Burgundy with an added Lemon skin pith, florality. The palate has a beautiful balance and weight, the viscosity of the palate reflects the quality of the wine and the element of oak it sees when aging. A wonderful density balanced impeccably by the intense fresh acidity and creamy spice. A handsome rose that will stand up to any white meat, charcuterie or perfect with goat’s cheese. Drink 2016 but will age well over the next 2-3 years.
